Camel rides in Nubra Valley have been a traditional experience since ancient times, when caravans of Bactrian camels were the primary means of transport through the harsh desert-like regions. Visitors can still enjoy this authentic experience in the Nubra Valley sand dunes, along with spectacular views of the Himalayas. Special cultural performances and local festivals are also organized to give tourists a glimpse of Ladakhi traditions and heritage.
Day 1 | Arrive Delhi – Transfer to Leh
You will be received by our representative at Delhi airport and take a flight to Leh. On arrival, transfer to the hotel and rest to acclimatize to the high altitude. Evening at leisure to explore Leh Market.
Day 2 | Leh Sightseeing
After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Leh. Visit Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, and the bustling local markets. Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 3 | Leh – Shey – Thiksey – Hemis Monasteries
After breakfast, visit Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, and Hemis Monastery. Admire the beautiful Himalayan landscapes along the way. Return to Leh for overnight stay.
Day 4 | Leh – Nubra Valley via Khardung La
Drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La, one of the highest motorable passes in the world. Check in at the hotel/camp in Nubra. Optional camel ride on the sand dunes of Hunder. Overnight stay in Nubra.
Day 5 | Nubra Valley Sightseeing
Explore Diskit Monastery and enjoy panoramic views of the valley. Visit local villages and interact with the friendly Ladakhi people. Overnight stay in Nubra.
Day 6 | Nubra Valley – Pangong Lake
After breakfast, drive to Pangong Lake, a stunning high-altitude lake famous for its changing colors. Check in at a camp near the lake. Enjoy the serene landscape and sunset views.
Day 7 | Pangong Lake – Leh
Early morning at the lake for sunrise photography. After breakfast, drive back to Leh. Evening at leisure or shopping in Leh Market. Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 8 | Leh – Tso Moriri Lake
Drive to Tso Moriri Lake, a tranquil glacial lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Check in at a camp near the lake. Enjoy the pristine beauty of the region.
Day 9 | Tso Moriri – Leh
After breakfast, return to Leh. En route, visit scenic spots and small villages. Check in at the hotel in Leh. Evening at leisure.
Day 10 | Leh – Lamayuru Monastery
Drive to Lamayuru, famous for its moon-like landscape. Visit Lamayuru Monastery and explore the surrounding areas. Return to Leh for overnight stay.
Day 11 | Leh – Alchi – Likir – Magnetic Hill – Leh
Today, enjoy a full-day excursion visiting Alchi Monastery, Likir Monastery, and the famous Magnetic Hill. Return to Leh in the evening.
Day 12 | Leh – Kargil
Drive to Kargil. On the way, enjoy scenic views of the Indus River and mountain landscapes. Visit local monasteries and war memorials. Overnight stay in Kargil.
Day 13 | Kargil – Srinagar via Zoji La Pass
After breakfast, drive to Srinagar via Zoji La Pass. Check in at a hotel or houseboat. Evening leisure by Dal Lake.
Day 14 | Srinagar Sightseeing
Today, enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Srinagar. Visit Mughal Gardens, Shankaracharya Temple, and take a shikara ride on Dal Lake. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 15 | Depart Srinagar – Delhi
After breakfast, transfer to Srinagar airport for your flight to Delhi for onward journey.
